There are SOOOO many that don&#8217;t work for me and I don&#8217;t understand how they function for the cook. So, there are ups and downs. But for beginners I can definitely recommend (there are of course many more, but I do not want to overwhelm you):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ohsheglows.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ohsheglows<\/a> (I started cooking vegan 7 years ago with this blog!) The old recipes were all so easy and I actually found 99.9% of the ingredients in the regular grocery store which was great because there was no vegan trend at the time)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/minimalistbaker.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Minimalist Baker<\/a> (super simple recipes with as few ingredients as possible)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCF-ACPYNN0oXD4ihS5mbbmw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Avantgardevegan<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCq2E1mIwUKMWzCA4liA_XGQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Pick Up Limes<\/a> also have great recipes on YouTube<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Easy &amp; quick recipes that I love<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>This was your biggest wish and I will just try to share my dishes with you over the course of the month. I will create a whole blogpost about that topic but until then some quick inspiration:<\/li>\n<li>homemade cashew cheese spread<\/li>\n<li>hummus<\/li>\n<li>sliced marinated tofu (Taifun has the best one in my opinion &#8211; not sponsored)<\/li>\n<li>Fried tempeh slices (best tempeh in my opinion is from Tempehmanufaktur &#8211; not sponsored)<\/li>\n<li>vegan lox &#8211; find a recipe on <a class=\"notranslate\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/aniahimsa\/\">@aniahimsa<\/a>\u2018s account&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>veggie spreads made out of nuts, veggies and nutritional yeast<\/li>\n<li>ajvar (the Serbian in me is coming out, haha) &#8211; trust me, it\u2019s so good on bread<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5><strong>My &#8220;magic formula&#8221; in cooking<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>I start with vegetables or with a protein, e.g. Potatoes or tempeh, and create a dish around it. For example, Baked potatoes with salad and chickpeas. Or fried tempeh with pan vegetables, tomato sauce and rice. Or whole wheat pasta with almond sauce and peas. Or mushrooms with spinach, zucchini and tofu in a soy sauce with polenta or millet. A super easy option that just always works, no matter what time of day, or if you are on the go: Buddha Bowls! Simply combine a carbohydrate with various vegetables, healthy fats and protein and a dressing in a bowl. I&#8217;ll try to share the best veganized recipes here during the month. Here are a few that I can already share with you:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ohsheglows.com\/2013\/08\/27\/sun-dried-tomato-mushroom-and-spinach-tofu-quiche\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Vegan Quiche<\/a> (so good!!!)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/minimalistbaker.com\/one-bowl-vegan-chocolate-cake\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Vegan Chocolate Cake<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/minimalistbaker.com\/1-bowl-chocolate-hazelnut-cake-vegan-gf\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Vegan Chocolate Cake<\/a>&nbsp;gluten free<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ohsheglows.com\/2011\/03\/08\/vegan-chocolate-cupcakes-with-vanilla-almond-frosting-and-raspberry-glaze\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Vegan Cupcakes<\/a> (soooo yummy!!!)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ohsheglows.com\/2011\/11\/07\/vegan-lasagna-with-basil-cashew-cheeze\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Vegan Lasagna<\/a> (on top I just add my almond cheese sauce, see above, 5-7 minutes before cooking time is over)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><strong>Experiment<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>At the beginning of my vegan transition, I tried a recipe from cookbooks or from Ohsheglows every day. If you guys do this, you will have the basics of the vegan kitchen down pretty quickly and then you can start to experiment! If you are looking for alternatives, do a bit of searching on the internet, but also test yourself! So far I have been able to cook a vegan alternative for EVERYTHING (or at least almost everything)!
