After revealing my sustainable and ethical wedding dress, I also wanted to share my civil registry dress with you today! Again, I have an interesting story 🙂
I had originally ordered a dress from Etsy, to be exact this one here (affiliate link, even bought). It is ethically produced and made of organic linen, but unfortunately a little bit transparent, so I had it altered at the seamstress. This whole process was not cheap to be honest and after a lot of back and forth I realized that I actually didn’t like the dress that much for the wedding. I still think the cut is super cute, but it was not really “me”. I could not imagine that in 10 years I would look at the pictures and still be totally in love with my dress. So it was a bad purchase …and unfortunately I couldn’t send back. My plan was to sell the dress and find another one instead. Unfortunately that was not so easy, as I had a very specific vision for my perfect civil service dress. It should be a boho dress, but still be relatively timeless.
I actually can’t really remember how I finally found it, but the Fair Wear Foundation certified label Odd Molly (Affiliate Link, bought it myself) actually has a beautiful selection of Bohemian bridal gowns. All are sold out at the moment, but as soon as the new wedding season starts, you’ll find beautiful new models here (affiliate link).
My vegan bridal shoes are from the Etsy shop Roni Kantor (affiliate links, no ad, bought it myself). I ordered one size bigger, 41 instead of 40, as the label said that the models run a bit small and it fit really well. Don’t forget to include customs fees when ordering from the shop.
You can also read all the stories about my big bridal gown search, accessories and more here! The photos are all by Jelena Hinic (unpaid advertising).
Here also a few more pics of the actual civil service day by Vreni Jäckle 🙂

A beautiful bride and a handsome groom. Like love birds …x
That’s exactly what I’m afraid of! That I’m gonna buy a dress months before but LATER I find The Perfect One! I have so many things planned properly and ahead of time (thanks to this amazing book I’m using: https://www.net-boss.org/shop/how-to-prepare-a-perfect-wedding-by-george-holmes) but the dress… I am just afraid to buy it too soon. How late it too late?!
Beautiful and awesome ! Loved !
